I want to install two LED downlights (Osram Ivios LED III 10 Watt) each in my terrace roof and entrance canopy.
The flat roofs were sealed below the mineral wool insulation with OSB board, polystyrene board, and base plaster. Before applying the finish plaster, I drilled holes for the lights through the polystyrene and OSB board using a hole saw.
Is it sufficient to push the mineral wool insulation upwards with spacers to allow for heat dissipation?
I am still unsure how to secure the recessed lights, as the clips cannot be pushed downward due to the directly adjacent polystyrene.
What would you recommend?
I am also sending a few photos as attachments.
