I have a different question.. Is a wood stove practical in a timber frame construction? No, for many reasons. But if you have to choose one, then a masonry stove with low output is recommended.Tassimat schrieb:
A decorative fireplace makes sense if you enjoy it.
A fireplace for heating is not practical.A heated fireplace is fun!
Ok, let me explain it better: it’s about the difference between heating the whole house with the device (which doesn’t make sense) versus providing a bit of warmth for a cozy evening in the living room... the latter is a matter of personal preference. There are plenty of people who don’t enjoy a TV evening, relaxing, or similar activities right now, so what’s the purpose of having a fireplace in that case (in terms of practicality)?
