Dear Sir or Madam,
We purchased a newly built apartment last year, which is now gradually being completed. However, we have noticed a few issues that do not seem finished to us.
Photos attached.
In one photo, you can see the waterproof membrane with the finishing trim on the balcony simply left exposed. This raises our first question: Is this legally and technically correct?
In the other photo, we are on the ground floor above the underground garage. Here, the finishing trim is also visible, but only on the ground floor in this area. In the rest of the building, the trims are hidden under the stone cladding. The underground garage extends up to the paving and is therefore larger than the building itself. The curbstone is missing here, which concerns us as it may cause the paving to loosen over time.
Otherwise, I cannot imagine that the finishing trim is supposed to be visible above the stones. The builder, and thus our seller, claims this is completely normal and that if we find it unattractive, we have to fix it ourselves. However, I believe there might have been a measurement mistake.
I cannot understand how all of this can be considered entirely correct.
I would appreciate any help. Perhaps there are legal regulations that are not being met.
Kind regards

Yes, that doesn’t look good, especially with the anchors sticking out halfway.
By the way, the trims are sharp on the edges, so someone could easily get injured, especially on the balcony at the entrance area.
I have never seen this on any house before. From my point of view, they are always hidden.

Please use a gender-neutral term for the word Abschlussleiste next time. Thank you 🙂Where is the problem with that?In my opinion, Abschlussleiste and "next to the Abschlussleiste" are grammatically correct.
