Hello forum community,

Attached are photos of our garage. The garage belongs to our house, which we purchased last year, and it was built in 1978.

We would like to get the garage back to white.
Is it possible to simply paint over it again, or do the deposits need to be removed first, or could this even be mold?

Thank you in advance for your input.

That could be lichens. You can remove them using appropriate products available at hardware stores. After that, remove any peeling material. Cracks should be properly sealed. Someone here will probably provide more advice on that.

In the end, the surface will be painted.
