I just saw a nice prefinished parquet flooring at the hardware store. I have no knowledge about the technical details. It’s a click-lock system. If I were tired of my tiles, could I simply install this parquet flooring directly over them? What about the underfloor heating then? Would it be overwhelmed?

Mmmh, do you mean yes, that’s possible, or yes, the heating system is overloaded? Or both?

Overwhelmed. Wood itself is more of an insulating material than a heat conductor. Now there’s heating, tiles, some air, wood... underneath the wood it gets nicely warm... but not on top anymore.

Understood. Alright then. 😳
