Hi,

there are significant price differences between buying tiles from a specialized tile supplier or from a hardware store.

We would tend to go with the hardware store since the construction specification lists 20€/m2 (20 €/sq ft).

What are the differences between them?

Best regards & thanks

We also decided to choose tiles from a specialized retailer, as advised by our architect. Despite the price, the wood-look tiles convinced the architect as well, even though he initially showed us more affordable options. The selection of tiles and sanitary fixtures was made together with him and a professional consultant.

The price is definitely not insignificant. How wide is the joint?

For wood-look tiles, I find the prices to be in the normal range [emoji848]

That's correct, the price is somewhat higher. However, we will definitely have it for more than 10 years. I can't say anything about the grout yet (it has not been installed), but it can be kept very narrow due to the quality of the tile (calibration).

We also liked that three different widths can be combined to create a harmonious overall look. We found this option of varying widths in only a few samples, not even at the tile supplier.

Oh guys, you are currently reducing tiles to just wood look. If I wanted a wood look, I would have chosen parquet.
