Hello everyone,

my building specification states:

“Plastic windows with insulated glazing, price group Kömmerling or equivalent (overall window value Uw according to thermal protection certificate).”

I have attached a picture: Is the building specification met here? The window is triple glazed (or is it?). The spacer bar is made of aluminum (or is it?).

Is it considered a defect if the spacer bar (as shown in the picture) is not flush?

Is there a difference between insulated glazing and thermal insulation glazing?

Does my window have a gas filling?

Is it a problem if a triple-glazed window has an aluminum spacer bar (keyword warm edge)?

So many questions for which I would be very grateful for answers!

Thank you very much

Sorry, again with a better attachment.

I would file a complaint about the dent. Your glazing unit is gas-filled, and it is supposed to remain that way. Any exchange of the gas with regular ambient air would cause condensation inside the glass unit. Insulating glazing and solar control glazing are not the same: in Egypt, no homeowner worries about using more heating energy but prefers to reduce heat gain from sunlight.
