Hello everyone,
in our new build (solid construction Ytong) the interior plaster was applied in November 20 and has not yet dried, especially on the upper floor. Two weeks ago, the screed was installed, the screed process is ongoing, and drying units are running on the ground floor and basement. Our site management has now arranged for the ceiling framework on the upper floor to be installed on the still damp plaster. We are concerned that the plaster in these areas will not dry properly and mold might develop. I am attaching photos.
Thank you very much for your opinion and have a great weekend.

Construction scene: metal stud frame, loose insulation, visible cables on the ceiling.

Unfinished interior: metal ceiling frame, loose cables, insulation and plastered walls.

It’s just the UK; the Middle East and Africa will not prevent the moisture from escaping…

Sealing it up would be unwise, as the ceiling might sag due to the moisture.

Only a UD profile has been screwed to the wall, and it has a height of 28mm (1.1 inches). As long as the cladding is installed only after drying, there will be no issues.

More than four months and the plaster still isn’t dry?

Something doesn’t seem right here, how can the plaster still not be dry after 4 months?

That is a ring beam up there, filled with concrete, which is now drying from the outside through the plaster; there is already a membrane on top. This takes time. Try sanding the wet area a bit—it damages the top sinter layer, which also acts as a seal on the plaster.
