Hello,

please excuse my ignorance, but I have been hearing about these so-called "wall tattoos" for some time now, and that they come in all kinds of shapes and variations, including wall quotes. I would like to "tattoo" a Twain quote on my office wall but don’t know how these things work. For example, whether they are applied with paste and if they can be completely removed without damage if you don’t like them.

Best regards

hello ferdi,

wall decals stick to all grease-free surfaces and are also easy to remove. They are really simple to apply and can give a room a personal touch. For example, you can also stick them on windows or mirrors to create a nice effect.

best regards, Mara 🙂

Hello ferdi! 🙂

But before you get started and suddenly get frustrated: there are huge quality differences when it comes to wall decals. Currently, many "wall decals" on the market are nothing more than cheap stickers. These can’t be fully removed because they either don’t stick well to the wall in the first place or have such a large adhesive area that makes them difficult to position correctly. At this point, all I can say is: quality comes at a price! 😉

Hi,

I have to agree with Leeloo on this. It’s better to spend a few euros more and then have wall decals that both stick well and can also be completely removed without leaving any residue. Quality usually comes at a price.

Best regards, Mara 🙂

Hi Mara!

You said you want to get a specific phrase tattooed on your wall...
I find the idea of these types of wall tattoos very interesting. Is it possible to have custom tattoos made? I’m thinking of something like a tribal design. I’m currently looking for ways to redecorate my living room, and something like that would be perfect. Are these applied like stickers? What exactly should you look for when buying them? I imagine there must be expensive tattoos that aren’t any good, right?

Best regards

Hello everyone,
the idea of wall decals is really good. I speak from experience and am still impressed by how easy they are to apply and remove. However, I have to say that I used the slightly more expensive wall stickers. With those, there definitely were no problems. I also tried something else. I bought stencils to paint a border on the wall. That worked really well too. You just have to be careful not to apply too much paint with the stencil brush because otherwise it’s quite easy for paint to get under the stencil, and then the border doesn’t look as neat as planned. If you try it out first on a sheet of paper, it works perfectly afterward.
Just let me know what you decided on. I’d really be interested.
See you
Jack
