plokau5Hello everyone, I am currently planning to mount an IKEA Pax wardrobe on a drywall or plasterboard wall. My question is: what is the safest way to attach the Pax to such walls, which usually have a framework of metal studs or timber and are not solid walls?
I am aware that standard anchors are not sufficient, as the weight of the wardrobe and its contents can be considerable. I would like to know which special anchors or fastening methods you would recommend to ensure the wardrobe is securely fixed without damaging the wall or the fittings.
Additionally, I am interested in how to properly distribute the load on the wall, especially whether additional reinforcement of the plasterboard is advisable or if the wardrobe must always be fixed directly to the studs or metal profiles of the framework.
