I am planning a house where I will live in the basement and ground floor, and the first floor and attic can be rented out.
Living area:
Basement approx. 60 m² (645 sq ft), ground floor approx. 60 m² (645 sq ft), first floor approx. 60 m² (645 sq ft), attic approx. 40 m² (430 sq ft)
The basement would need to be designed as a daylight basement to ensure sufficient natural light.
I have two main questions in advance.
1. How much extra does it generally cost to build out the basement as a daylight basement? The soil conditions are normal, with nothing special to consider. I am only looking for a rough estimate, understanding that a detailed cost calculation down to the exact dollar is not possible.
2. What is the best way to arrange access to the upper apartment to minimize living space lost to the staircase?
