Good morning,

For the renovation, we bought new radiators, type DK22 Universal. Unfortunately, I paid attention to the size but NOT to the distance between the pipe centers. The old ones are 50cm (20 inches), the new ones 54cm (21 inches).

To avoid having to redo all the pipes, I looked for a connecting piece that can bridge this difference and found a radiator offset, S-connector, 1/2'' female to male, 40mm (1.6 inches) center distance. This should probably fit. I just don’t know WHICH connection on the radiator it goes to.

Top or bottom???

Please enlighten me so I can install the brackets correctly.

Have a nice Sunday, everyone.

Matt

Hello

The offset piece should be installed at the bottom.
If mounted shifted downward on the supply line, it could potentially trap air that would have difficulty escaping.

@wrobel

That helps. Thanks. Only the lower connection on the new radiator is stuck.
How do I attach the offset piece there? It has an external thread as the connection.

Hello again

Unscrew the plug from the underfloor heating manifold, attach the extension piece, and screw it in.
Do the same on the supply line with a valve extension to return to the original length.
Then screw in the fittings of the thermostatic valve and the return line.
