Hello dear forum,
During my vacation, I saw a fantastic bathroom that was covered not with tiles but with colored glass. It looked absolutely amazing. Now I would like to have a similar "glass facade" in my bathroom, but I haven’t found a contractor yet who is familiar with this material and technique.
Maybe someone here has also installed glass instead of tiles in their bathroom and can tell me if this can be done as a DIY project. I imagine fixing the glass panels and cutting out the sockets could be challenging. What do you think?

bastian-120 Feb 2015 07:02Hello Niklas,
My wife had the same idea after we saw this during our vacation. I have done some research, and there are craftsmen who can do this. The craftsman is from Germany and installs beautiful glass walls in bathrooms.
I will be contacting him soon.

Annegret-127 Feb 2015 16:22Hi,
That’s great, and I have a similar idea. I have also seen such glass facades online.
What I haven’t seen is how the glass is actually fixed in place.

Richard-111 May 2015 12:28I think that's great, and we had a similar bathroom on our last vacation. There was a glass wall, which also served as a room divider. The room divider had a metal frame where the sliding tracks were mounted.
From a design perspective, it was absolutely excellent.

Karl-Steffen-113 Jul 2015 15:52I don’t like glass in the bathroom at all. Only classic options like tiles or wood are used here. So far, I haven’t had the chance to see a bathroom like that.
