We are currently reconsidering our choice of exterior finish. The plan is for a 6.6m by 9m (22 by 30 feet) garage with a gable roof and brick veneer matching the house. The offers we have received so far (each bundled with the house) were in the range of 45,000 to 50,000 euros.

The question is whether choosing a different exterior finish could save us around 10,000 euros. A few months ago, I saw a modern, dark garage facade here in the forum, where the material was also mentioned. Unfortunately, I can no longer find that post. Does anyone remember it?

Has anyone clad their garage with wood and been satisfied with the result?

I remember – those were plastic panels... I'll take a look 🙂

HPL laminate panels? I think that was it. However, I can no longer find the thread. They cost from around 40€/m2 (about $37/ft²).

That should be it, right...?

You are a gem. So if Trespa costs 40€/m² (40€/10.76 ft²) and I have my masonry garage clad with it, that should still be 30-40€/m² (30-40€/10.76 ft²) cheaper than using branded facing bricks, right?
