Hello,
Has anyone here installed a "solid" folding door?
We would like to install a door for a 2m (6 ft 7 in) wide opening between the kitchen and the living/dining area. In addition to a sliding door, we have now come across a folding door but have found very few suppliers offering these for interior use.

Thank you and best regards

My parents used to have a curtain between the kitchen and dining area – this was also used very little and has probably been left wide open for about 20 years or so.

I had to read that twice myself. 🙂
When I search for folding doors on Google, there are tons of suggestions.Unfortunately, not what we are looking for. Mostly, you find solutions for conservatories, offices, or the cheap PVC option. A system with, for example, aluminum frames with glass inserts is mostly available only for outdoor use, which unfortunately isn’t what we want.

We had planned a sliding door here, but a folding door caught our attention (unfortunately I can’t post a link), and the supplier is from Italy. So far, I haven’t been able to find a source or alternatives.
We are looking for a folding door for a 2m (6.6 feet) wide wall opening. It should have 2 door panels and preferably be made of aluminum/glass or similar materials.
When I search for folding walls online, I find various solutions to separate conservatories. This is exactly what we are looking for, but for indoor use only.
