Hello,
for us, it is clear that we only want tiles in the kitchen, bathrooms, and utility room. For the other rooms, we would prefer a warmer type of flooring. We have planned underfloor heating.
Since we have a small but active dog, we are wondering how scratch-resistant vinyl or cork flooring is. Are there any experiences with dogs?
Thank you

Hi,
we also have two dogs and faced the decision of which flooring to choose for the new house.
We immediately ruled out cork flooring because I saw it at friends’ place after about one year and it looked really bad, unfortunately.
Vinyl was initially very appealing, being promoted as durable, etc., but after checking it at work or friends’ places after a few years, we found it to be heavily scratched as well.
Supposedly, this shouldn’t happen, but when I compare it to our current flooring (tiles), vinyl definitely loses out.
That’s why we are choosing tiles again for the new house.
Best regards, Tina
