Hello!

We need your help. We are in the final stages of our planning. We are not completely satisfied with the passage between the kitchen and living room. Maybe you have some suggestions for us.

About the house
Rectangular house in a country style
Single-family house – The house will be built on a farm. The plan is to have the office for us "young people" inside the house. That’s why it should be located towards the back of the house, so the parents-in-law don’t have to walk through the whole house all the time ;-) Also very important is a mudroom where the "country people" can shower. We placed the kitchen at the front right so we can look out onto the yard. This is important to us. We would like a double door between the kitchen and living room. However, this has resulted in a narrow corridor where we can’t put anything. We are slowly abandoning our idea. What do you think? Do you have any ideas for us?

Many thanks!

Dining table without a view but with a panoramic view of the workshop—or is that a gate? 😀
A closet room can also be not really my thing...
Lots of square meters, lots of walking around—but not really coherent—tricky...

Yes, there is a door in the workshop 😀 😀
We didn’t want any walk-through rooms, so the hallway is located in the connecting section... This way, things can be left in the utility room without any problem 😉

Maybe try rotating the guest room a bit – remove that, move the wardrobe and bathroom to the left wall, shift the staircase forward, and move the entrance further to the left – the living room moves further, and the hallway becomes shorter? Something along those lines.

The dining area feels too busy. However, it could contribute to a slim body shape 😉 Why is the kitchen at the front again? Is it because of the view?
Why are there two toilets on the ground floor? Will one of them at the back be used by other people?

Since a lot happens in the kitchen, it needs to be spacious! 😉 at the front so we can keep an eye on everything. The restroom at the front will be used as a guest bathroom. At the back, when you come out of the barn 😉
