However, that doesn’t solve the space issue on the ground floor.

I don’t see a space problem on the ground floor! I see just under 65 sq m (700 sq ft) of living-dining-kitchen area and 20 sq m (215 sq ft) hallway.

The square meters are just poorly distributed, which is why the sofa and dining table feel cramped... is it really 7 meters (23 feet) to the TV???? That would cause structural challenges...

Incorrect distribution of space and room sizes is a common issue among non-professionals, who don’t want to waste area on what they consider unnecessary rooms and secondary spaces.

Space issue might not be the right term, actually.
Definitely, a different layout is necessary, with more utility room/technical space.

Parent’s wing on the west side, move the living area to the right according to the plan, connect the double garage to the pantry. Place the utility room next to the pantry. Move the wall by the staircase in the living and dining area about 1.63 meters (5 feet 4 inches) downward... and see what space that creates: possibly room for a nice half-landing staircase and a large wardrobe 🙂

Upstairs, add a second utility room – the rest still needs to be considered.

I agree with the criticisms mentioned.

I find it unfortunate that you, @Michelle7508, marked your headline with HELP and two exclamation marks but did not provide any information about which areas you need assistance with or express the doubts you apparently have. It’s also a pity that one can only assume that north is at the top of the drawings. This always makes the discussion here somewhat one-sided ;-). Hopefully, we will see more about your concerns later.

240m2 (2,583 sq ft)? Seriously??

A pantry and storage room feel unnecessary and wasteful. In both rooms, probably only a single cabinet fits along one wall.

Air space next to a child's room is somewhat awkward. Solid walls are needed for sound insulation between the child's room and the air space, so the children are not disturbed at night by visits from the parents.
