Hi!

I’m curious to hear your thoughts on what the best type of heating is! There’s a lot of talk about heating with wood being cheap and environmentally friendly. Prices for electricity and gas keep rising. Wood prices seem to be relatively stable, right? I look forward to your opinions and suggestions.

pro wood heating

Hi Sennor,

When considering the environment, heating with wood is definitely one of the best options. Wood has been a source of heat for a long time. Although the initial investment costs are considerable, you will save that money over time. Wood is a renewable energy source. Forests also remain healthy when wood energy is used responsibly.

Hi!

I lived for years on an old farm where heating was only possible with wood. I noticed that this created a very different, more pleasant warmth. If you own your land and can "produce" your own firewood, you basically don’t spend any money on heating. All you need is some time...

hi!

there are three main sources of energy:
- nuclear energy
- fossil energy
- renewable energy

when heating with wood, this is considered thermal energy production.
keep in mind that people have been using wood for burning for about 400,000 years. today, in addition to firewood, it is also possible to heat using briquettes or wood chips, for example.

Hello Sennor,

My mother still heats her home with wood. When I visit her in winter, there is always a nice, cozy warmth that greets me, very different from a heating system or similar. If I had the option to heat with wood, I would choose to do so as well.

Hello everyone!

Nowadays, it is possible to heat with so-called wood pellets. These are wood in pellet form. They are filled almost the same way as heating oil. You have a large tank where the pellets are stored. You can convert your regular heating system to use pellets for heating. Although this initially costs some money, in the long run, you save money because these pellets are much cheaper than heating oil or gas.
