Hello everyone,
According to the architect, our air source heat pump needs to be relocated. A minimum distance of 11.89m (39 feet) has been calculated for nighttime noise reduction.
The construction company has given us a quote of €999 for a 5.5m (18 feet) offset. The pump is planned to be moved from the middle of the left side of the house to the front.
Is this price justified?
Thanks and best regards, Robert

Just ask how the costs are broken downAt €999? I can tell you exactly how that adds up. ;-)"Hey boss, how much?"
"Keep it under a thousand, or he'll complain!"
"Okay."

If the heat pump is already fully installed and would have to be moved completely, I would consider the price reasonable.

If the heat pump is already fully installed and would have to be completely relocated, I would consider the price reasonable. This is a standard house from a home builder.
The pump is always located at the left corner when the house is sold.
So far, no ground has been broken for the house yet. The building permit / planning permission still needs to be submitted.
They have now conducted a noise assessment in relation to our plot and determined that the pump must be positioned 5.5m (18 feet) further towards the center of our property.
In that sense, it really is just an extension of the pipes.

This is not about implementing an existing system, but rather about extending a new build. So, am I correct in understanding that the system currently exists only on paper?
Of course, additional costs can sometimes be justified. However, you need to explain the circumstances in more detail.

Of course, additional costs can be justified under certain circumstances. But you would need to explain the situation in a bit more detail. Exactly, the house and everything related to it exist only on paper so far.
Does anyone know how sound insulation is handled? Is it a requirement for the building permit / planning permission, or is it just a courtesy for the neighbor?
