Hello,
I have to say, I’m really overwhelmed by the complexity of heating systems. Apparently, each type comes in about 30 different models.
Could someone provide an example overview of the costs involved and which heat pump would be suitable for a 125 m² (1,346 sq ft) single-family house if I want to plan a heat pump with ground collectors from Vaillant?
geoTHERM VWS 63/3? And what exactly is covered by the 4000 euro subsidy?
Can anyone recommend an affordable company in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW)?

New construction?
If yes:
8,000-10,000 € for the drilling
7,000 € for the heating system
1,000 € for installation (?)
5 € for coffee and cake
500 € for insurance

4,500 € subsidy with an annual performance factor of >4.5

Which heating system you choose depends on your partner and your heating load. Make sure the drilling partner is certified (W120-2) and that the application to BAFA is submitted before the order is placed.

All statements are from a layperson.

The geoTherm has been discontinued for a few days now – only remaining stock is available. The new Vaillant model is called FlexoTherm, and it already offers some (minor) improvements, which is why I waited.

Drilling costs range from 6,000 to 12,000 euros depending on the provider and ground conditions. The heating system itself is around 8,000 euros, and drilling insurance costs 300 euros. There is also a subsidy of 4,000 euros for the ground collector system.

Otherwise, as mentioned: selecting a heating system without a heat load calculation does not make sense.

He’s right.
We drill deep. However, a ground collector is even cheaper.
I didn’t know that the FlexoTherm has been discontinued. Is it even still listed on the energy-saving equipment list (Bafalist)? I could cry. We were actually planning to sign the contract soon....

It is registered with the BAFA. Surface collectors are more affordable but need to be effective – in our case, this wouldn’t have worked due to sandy soil and the area being only 520 m² (5600 sq ft), which is too small.

I had been waiting for the FlexoTherm for 6 months and checked with them every week.

Now you only have 5 or 8 kW left, and we wanted 6… but it provides 228 liters (60 gallons) of hot water. That is very encouraging.
I’ll have to study this tonight.
