Hello everyone,

I am currently assembling my Faktum kitchen. According to the plan, there should be 51 cm (20 inches) between the sink base cabinet and the wall cabinet. Now, this seems a bit too little to me. The base cabinet, meaning the sink, extends 60 cm (24 inches) from the wall, while the wall cabinet starts at a depth of 25 cm (10 inches) — so it is 35 cm (14 inches) from the wall. When I roughly measure this mentally with my height of 183 cm (6 feet), I can barely see the wall behind the sink if I stand directly at the sink.

What is the distance between your base cabinets and wall cabinets?

Best regards.

In my case, the distance is 55 cm (22 inches). I have an additional 5 cm (2 inches) light reveal underneath, so the clear width is 50 cm (20 inches). I am 1.78 m (5 ft 10 in) tall and the view works well for me. If I stand 5 cm (2 inches) higher, it is still acceptable (for me). (Base height 16 cm (6 inches)).
