Hello dear building forum,
We are constructing a 210 sqm (2,260 sq ft) single-family house to KfW 55 standard and want a decentralized ventilation system. (We have deliberately decided against a central ventilation system, but this is not the topic here.)
I am looking for a system that is discreet on the exterior of the house, for example, integrated into the window reveals. We do not want to have fans visible on the facade in every room.
Who has experience and can recommend something? I look forward to the exchange. Best regards

I-Tec from Internorm meets almost all your requirements, but unfortunately it is at the higher end of the price range. With an integrated heat exchanger, a heat recovery efficiency of up to 93% is claimed. 😀 Just searched for user reviews on this. Devastating. Already loud buzzing at the lowest setting, and on setting 3 it becomes unbearable in the room. Who would install something like this??Bookstar schrieb:

I simply refrained from commenting on decentralized ventilation systems because the original poster explicitly did not want a central system. So here is my opinion to avoid any misunderstandings: Who would do something like that? Do it properly – done.

We had decentralized units from Meltem, which are supposedly not the worst. We basically never used them because they were very noisy, caused drafts, and couldn’t be controlled centrally. Now that we have a central system, it’s a world of difference. We also have decentralized units from Meltem—one in the living/dining/kitchen area and one in the bathroom. In the new build, there will definitely be a central system in every room.
