Fitzgerald-16 Jul 2012 19:48Hello!
I recently installed our new shower tray. When showering with hot water, it makes quite loud cracking noises. The noise is also noticeable with cold water but less intense. The model is Ultraflat 120cm (47 inches) / 90cm (35 inches) / 4.5cm (1.8 inches) acrylic.
Has anyone experienced similar issues and can explain the cause and how to fix it?

Do the noises also occur when only warm water is running into the bathtub, without anyone in the shower? If so, the noise could be caused by thermal expansion movement – but this should not happen either.
Have the craftsman who installed the bathtub come and take a look – they should inspect and fix this potential issue.
