In our utility room on the ground floor, we have noticed significant condensation on the uninsulated parts of the piping and the water meter. The condensation has dripped down or run down the pipes inside the insulation, and now the insulation in that area is slightly damp. The pipes and the water meter themselves are constantly covered with condensation.

Currently, we have rough-sawn boards resting on battens with insulation in between, but we will likely change this in the area around the pipes.

The question is, how have you insulated the pipes and parts of the water supply to prevent the water from dripping down?

Even if the area were tiled, moisture would still run down along the pipe to the floor slab/insulation.

Our pipes are insulated,
the water meter is not fogged up,
and we haven’t filled the pool yet,
we don’t even have one anyway 😉

Thank you.
The pipes are mostly insulated, but the brass fittings are not.
The water meter and the connections are actually wet.
We have now exposed the area on the floor and quickly grabbed some pipe wrap insulation to try wrapping a thick cloth around the meter. Just approaching the issue carefully and observing...
In any case, it seems that the metal pipes and fittings condense with the ice-cold water from outside, and sometimes it drips down here. At that spot, using wood fiber insulation / rough-sawn boards on the floor was probably not the best idea.

Condensation on pipes, fittings, and possibly windows also indicates that the house is still not dry. Wrapping them with cloths definitely helps, so keep doing that.

It is even damp inside the gray pipe insulation on the right side, causing a wet spot on the unfinished floor there.

Sewage leak? The bottom 100mm (4 inches) socket is installed crooked and not deep enough.
