Hi,

we still have some leftover construction debris, dirt, and what I believe is also bitumen residue around the basement windows and light wells.

Pictures are also attached.

Does anyone have good advice on how to remove all of this? Are there household products or chemicals that can clean the window or windowsill thoroughly?

Thank you very much for your help.

Kind regards, Michael

The frame should become clean again using a plastic cleaner from a specialist store; the window with dish soap 😉

For me, it all came off with dish soap / all-purpose cleaner and a putty knife.

We cleaned with neutral soap and used a microfiber cloth for stubborn stains.

For me, something like that came off again with warm water and a bit of window cleaner. However, it wasn’t as thick a layer as in the pictures above.
