Hello,
My builder is charging an extra 12,000 euros for an outdoor basement staircase, which I find too expensive.
Now I want to do it myself. Can anyone give me some advice regarding the basement stairs?
I was planning to have a prefabricated staircase installed (the crane will be on site anyway).
My question is: Can I connect the rainwater that collects in front of the basement door to the house drainage system?
The drainage directs the water to a cistern to irrigate the garden. I am not allowed to connect the drainage to the combined sewer system. Since the property is 2,480m² (approximately 0.61 acres) in size, I appreciate every liter of water, so one side of the roof will also drain into the cistern.
Or would it be better to cover the entrance? That would be more expensive though.
Best regards
