Hello everyone,
The house was built 14 years ago using bricks; we recently purchased it.
About 4 years ago, a small brick wall was added. This wall was only plastered about six months ago.
Now, after a few cold days, cracks have appeared.
The wall stands on a concrete base, which was likely built together with the house and the rest of the terrace.
I do not know how deep the base extends.
What could be the cause?
The cracks marked in red on the facade seem urgent to me; those marked in blue are more of an aesthetic issue.
It is worth mentioning that the cracks only appear on the weather-exposed side.
How should these cracks be repaired?
Even if we might not do it ourselves, we would like to understand.
We want to be able to assess whether a craftsman we hire is competent or just offering a quick, ineffective fix.
Thank you very much for any advice!
