I received 6 PVC corrugated sheets for the carport, but recently 2 of them were bent by a storm. The carport hasn’t been assembled yet; the sheets were placed on the edge and were supposed to be weighted down. Now I’m considering how to proceed. It’s difficult to find the exact same color again (except directly from the manufacturer or seller), but then the cost-to-delivery ratio doesn’t work out.
I’m thinking of buying 2 replacement sheets in clear, transparent material. These could be placed either on the left and right edges with the other 4 in the middle, or the 2 clear ones in the middle as a kind of light strip, with 2 original-colored sheets on each side. Would that look okay? Has anyone done something like this and could share pictures? 🙂
Alternatively, I could get 6 new sheets all in the same color and possibly switch to a different or thicker material. The current sheets are reportedly 0.8 mm (0.03 inches) thick.
What is your opinion?
