I want to upgrade my kitchen and completely refit it. For a long time, I have dreamed of installing a wine cooler in the kitchen. So far, this has not been feasible. Now, I plan to buy a new kitchen and integrate the wine cooler into it. My question is whether anyone knows to what extent you can include special requests like this when planning a kitchen at Ikea? Can something like this be done there, or do I need to go to a kitchen specialist?

zetterberg2 Jul 2014 07:44It shouldn’t be a problem if you have all the data for the wine cooler (niche dimensions, door measurements, etc.). Just be careful with the size because of the maximum load capacity for the shelves. For METOD, there is apparently a heavy-duty shelf for a maximum of 150 kg (330 lbs), I believe.
