Hello everyone,
I’m new to the forum but have been reading the interesting posts for some time.
I have a problem that is very important to me. Yesterday, around 3 PM, the foundation of my house was poured. At first, it only rained lightly, but then a heavy thunderstorm came with a lot of rain. There is now at least 5cm (2 inches) of water standing on the foundation.
Is that much water harmful to the foundation? In addition, the rain caused the slope to wash out (like a landslide), so now hundreds of kilograms of sand are lying on the foundation.
The house is being built by a developer.
Who is responsible for this now?
This doesn’t seem normal, does it?
I’ve attached a photo.
Thank you in advance for your answers or advice.

Doc.Schnaggls11 Aug 2014 13:49Hello Lukas,
I can really understand how you must be feeling... 🙁
How does the foundation slab look now?
Have you heard anything from the builder yet, or has any work been done?
If you have any doubts, I would definitely have the foundation slab inspected by an expert before any damage occurs to the house later on!
Best regards,
Dirk

Bauexperte11 Aug 2014 16:00Hello,
A developer means the land and the house come as a package, and you pay for both the land and the single-family home in up to 7 payment installments; with some providers, payment is only due after completion.
Or did you rather hire a contractor yxz with your construction contract and pay according to the payment schedule?
Regards, Bauexperte
