Hello,
I’m glad to have found this forum and hope for knowledgeable answers regarding the following issue:
During the installation of my aluminum roller shutter, guide rails were fitted that do not include any seals (e.g., brush seals). As a result, it is “metal on metal,” and the shutter gets scratched when lowered. My question is: Is this type of installation common practice?
If not, would this be considered a defect that I could claim? On what grounds could I base this? Are there any applicable standards or similar regulations?
Best regards,
Martin

I don't think there is a standard for this. If I were you, I would check the datasheet from the roller shutter manufacturer. If a guide with a seal is specified for your roller shutter, then it should be installed. However, if the manufacturer has omitted it in this area, then your options are limited.
