Hello everyone!
We want to build a semi-detached house with 6 rooms and 150 sqm (1,615 sq ft) of living space (excluding basement & terrace) in a new development area.
The site slopes slightly. The ridge height is relatively low at 9.00 m (30 ft) for a semi-detached house. The building envelope is quite large (8 x 12 meters (26 x 39 feet)). We are considering plot A, which is southeast-facing with a 1.85 m (6 ft) rise from the street to the back of the garden, and plot B, oriented perpendicular to it (garden facing southwest) with a 1 m (3 ft) height difference from the left to the right property boundary. We actually prefer plot A.
Currently, we have four design concepts and would like to hear your opinions. The concepts are easiest to understand from the attached sketches.

(1)
Plot A,
House size: 7.75 m x 10.25 m (25 ft 5 in x 33 ft 8 in)
Ground floor level at street level, allowing for an attic studio above the first floor, significant excavation of the slope behind the house (probably very expensive!)

(2)
Plot A,
House size: 8.00 m x 11.00 m (26 ft 3 in x 36 ft 1 in)
85 cm (33 in) high basement wall, garden slightly cut, attic studio not possible, attic space possibly replacing basement, larger ground area allows all rooms on ground and first floors

(3)
Plot A,
House size: 7.75 m x 10.25 m (25 ft 5 in x 33 ft 8 in)
190 cm (75 in) high basement wall, instead of attic studio, living space in the basement facing the street, garden leveled, entrance either via stairs (not very attractive visually) or through the basement on the side of the house (entry in the basement, also not an ideal solution)

(4)
Plot B
House size: 7.75 m x 10.25 m (25 ft 5 in x 33 ft 8 in)
House design like in (1), but no need for slope excavation. The neighboring semi-detached house will be slightly offset downwards due to a different reference point for maximum ridge height (see sketch)

Thank you in advance for your comments

Personally, I prefer plot B. It doesn’t feel as enclosed and has a better orientation.
Is this the only option for building a semi-detached house here?

Among the house designs, I would choose version 2.
We have a townhouse with 4 floors here. You always have to use stairs, and the individual floors feel quite cramped.
The 2-story plus attic option will probably feel more spacious.
Besides, I don’t like the “holes” in the terrain that are supposed to be created in some areas.

Are there floor plans available for the individual versions?
