Hello everyone,
The time is slowly coming when it’s possible to clean the driveway and the terrace.
I’m already thinking about a pressure washer, but which one would be suitable?
It’s clear that Kärcher is the market leader and very good quality.

What alternatives do you have and would recommend?

But not for large surfaces 😉
Fortunately, we mainly use coverings that are suitable for high-pressure cleaning.
Our high-pressure cleaner also serves other purposes, such as for the pool, etc.

Scrubbing is good for the muscles and metabolism, and if done quickly, it can replace cardio training.

Haha, like a high blood pressure cleaner 🙂

In my first training company, we sold Kärcher and Kränzle. I was strongly advised to sell a Kränzle whenever possible. As mentioned above, Kränzle uses a lot of brass parts, while Kärcher products are mostly made of plastic. There were reportedly many complaints about broken plastic screw fittings on Kärcher machines, and replacement parts were not available for those. At that time, with Kränzle, everything could at least be replaced.

However, that was almost 25 years ago. Maybe things have changed since then.

Regarding floor coverings, I could imagine that manufacturers are often overly cautious, following a “warning! Risk of burns!” approach—for example, with coffee from McDonald’s.

What I actually find problematic are the joints. They can probably get “empty” or overly cleaned very quickly…

Attached a simple Gardena joint scraper to a handle and gave it a try.

It took me 2 hours to clean 70m2 (750 sq ft).

Using a pressure washer only created noise and dirt, and the joints ended up empty.

Rotating brushes can also be used for joints.
70m2 (750 sq ft) is not that much either.

I have this surface cleaner with rotating water jets, but as I said, it didn’t really work that well.
