Att1985Hello everyone,
We are in the process of replacing our windows and have now collected several quotes. It concerns 23 windows plus a front door, all triple-glazed. On the ground floor, there will be external venetian blinds and insect screens, and on the upper floor, roller shutters plus insect screens.
The scope of work is almost the same in all requests, and the suppliers/contractors do not differ much. Therefore, in the end, the deciding factor will be price/performance.
We did not have any special requirements regarding security.
I understand that the window profile manufacturer is only part of the overall quality. Ultimately, the hardware, installation method (use of compression tape), etc., also play a role.
To take the first step, we have now received the following offers, which I have summarized in the attachment, along with an example window for each (except number 5, as it has few details).
Do you see any favorites or any less favorable details?

Benutzer2004 Jan 2022 12:12Veka V2 and Softline are identical profiles (also check with Polish suppliers – they often come up with their own names). Otherwise, there are no real differences in the frames.
Glass? Nothing mentioned about that.
Installation? Always according to RAL standards or just foam (which would be poor workmanship)?
Colored? Then preferably Gealan Acrylcolor.
P.S. Didn’t get enough answers in the green forum?

Thank you for the feedback.
If foam equals poor workmanship... what would not be considered poor workmanship?
There isn’t much information about the glass... true. Only a light transmittance of 73%.
Unfortunately, there is no more information about the installation either. So it is probably not RAL certified.

Veka and Gealan are manufacturers – with colored profiles, I would always prefer co-extrusion foiling, meaning Gealan – and Softline 82 MD is not a manufacturer: Softline refers to a profile with rounded edges, 82 millimeters (3.2 inches) is the construction depth (and has no qualitative significance, similar to the number of chambers*), MD means "(with) middle seal" (as opposed to AD = "rebate seal" = without middle seal, since MD is additional and includes AD).
