Hello everyone,

We want to cover the shaft ourselves, which includes the technical installations and especially the laundry chute. Due to the space constraints inside the shaft, every centimeter counts. Does anyone know if UD and CD drywall profiles (28mm (1.1 inches)) can be used for shaft cladding with single-sided drywall panels? I have only read that these profiles are typically used for suspended ceilings. Or are the thinnest options the UW and CW profiles with 50mm (2 inches) plus drywall panels?

Best regards

I also covered my knee wall on the upper floor using UD 27/28mm (about 1 inch) and CD profiles. Secure the UD profile solidly to the masonry, and it should work. Whether it meets any structural building regulations, I obviously don’t know.
