Bigmack15514 Mar 2021 02:53Hello everyone, sorry for my poor German. My wife and I have just purchased a plot of land and plan to start building in early 2022. The problem is that the property cost more than we expected and has used up part of our budget for the house. My question is, is it possible to build a 160 m2 (1,722 sq ft) house with a budget of 350,000, including construction costs and everything that comes with it? Thanks in advance.
Not less than 400,000 Euro.
You need to be economical.
Be careful. The prices from construction companies are not final.

WilderSueden14 Mar 2021 12:00The general guideline is around 2000€ per square meter for a house built on a concrete slab. However, this is the absolute minimum estimate, assuming you will handle some work yourself. Upgrading flooring, heating, and other elements will significantly increase this cost. For a 160m² (1722 sq ft) house, this would already amount to 320,000€.
Adding a basement would cost approximately 60,000 to 80,000€, depending on the soil conditions.
There are also related costs, such as earthworks, which will total at least 30,000€, so your budget is definitely at its limit. Additionally, don’t forget extras like a garden, carport, and other features you will likely want.
You will need to either increase your budget considerably or reduce the size of the house.
