Hello everyone, sorry for my poor German. My wife and I have just purchased a plot of land and plan to start building in early 2022. The problem is that the property cost more than we expected and has used up part of our budget for the house. My question is, is it possible to build a 160 m2 (1,722 sq ft) house with a budget of 350,000, including construction costs and everything that comes with it? Thanks in advance.

The problem is that the term "expert" is not legally protected. I could just as well call myself a "solid prefab house expert" and take money from people. Without wanting to speak ill of this provider, I have so far found nothing in their public statements that couldn’t be learned here in the forum in much greater detail. Sure, 300 EUR is not much, but you can’t expect much for that either. 😉

Comparing 5 quotes costs only 300 euros.
Sorry, but even I couldn’t offer that service for such a price – and certainly not a certified expert bound by the usual professional liability insurance and fee schedules. Still, a thorough comparison of quotes can be affordable and is always worthwhile. By the way, you can significantly simplify the process by comparing actively.

Ah, that really smooths things out for me, my rambling reads like Shakespeare in the translation ;-)
You underestimate Shakespeare! :p

For 300 euros, our independent expert worked for 2 hours and 30 minutes. In that time, 5 contracts were not even properly read, let alone compared.

And brick by brick, it’s done, right?

No construction has started yet. It is still too early. I have scheduled meetings with companies over the next month. My wife prefers prefabricated homes. However, I just want a quality house at a reasonable price, regardless of the building method.
