ᐅ Ceiling vents with a stylish design – do such options exist?

Dear all,
We will be installing a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery, and for various reasons, both the ground floor and the upper floor will have ceiling-mounted vents.
My wife finds the typical round disc vents, where you can see into the duct from the side, terribly unattractive, and I have to agree with her, even though I don’t feel that strongly about it. She would prefer rectangular vents, although the common ones from Helios always remind me of bathroom fans. The more expensive ones from Tecanno look nicer but still aren’t really impressive, especially considering the price.
What kind of vents do you have, or have you seen any nice ones? Are there any technical aspects we should keep in mind?
Thanks and best regards
Tolentino

Even though the standard white ones may seem unremarkable, this also has an advantage: they blend into the white ceiling. It is better for attention to be drawn to the lights rather than to ventilation outlets (or smoke detectors, presence sensors, or any other devices you might have).

These are rectangular and made of aluminum. I would have to look up the names. If you’re interested.Yes, gladly, even though my wife doesn’t like the silver aluminum look, but maybe they can be painted...Exactly, invisible would be best. Our ceiling lights will unfortunately be very simple LED panels (although that might still be reconsidered) and therefore not very distracting.
I already asked if the valves come combined with smoke detectors. My home service technician isn’t familiar with such a thing. That would actually be a market gap...

My HSL doesn’t have anything like that. Actually, that would be a market gap... Take a look at the filters of the exhaust air valves after a few weeks. We were shocked. A smoke detector is supposed to last 10 years, and the valves would quickly get clogged. It also doesn’t work on the supply air side, since the smoke would be blown away.

Of course, it’s a matter of personal taste. I find the white round ones from Zehnder very visually appealing.
With those slots, I wonder how the adjustment works? The round ones have a scale for fine-tuning.I can only recommend the Luna from Zehnder as well. Besides that, after three days in the new house, you hardly notice such things anymore, just like many other things you worry about beforehand 😉Similar topics
