Hello everyone,
After careful consideration, we have decided to build a house using the "Lego" principle. Unfortunately, we have found very few suppliers online (actually only one) that also offer some level of support. It is important to us to always have a contact person available and to have someone present during the wall casting process. So far, we have only been able to find the company Argisol for this.
Do you know of any companies in the northern German region that offer this building method?
When I look at websites like VariantHaus or similar, it seems they only provide the materials, and the builder is then left completely on their own.

Hello
Of course, the load-bearing walls can also be made from other types of bricks or blocks. If you have a good consultant, they won’t try to push their own products on you. At least that was my experience. I was even recommended different types of ceilings.
What is absolutely important is having an architect or planner who is familiar with the building system and honestly tells you what is unnecessary or difficult to implement, or what can be done more easily. If you ask an architect, you usually get "it can be done, no problem"...
That was my experience, at least.
And if, despite long planning and consideration, openings need to be made later on, that is no problem for a craftsman or a skilled DIYer with good tools. In my house, I drilled all the openings (12×172mm (0.5×6.8 inches) core drill holes) for the decentralized ventilation units afterward.
If anyone has any questions and I can help, I’m happy to do so.
Years ago, I also searched forums and other sources for information or experience reports and found almost nothing.
Best regards

Hello,
I have been searching for several weeks / months for more information about experiences with Isorast. Since a colleague built a house about 1.5 years ago, I have been initially impressed with the system. It is clear that you need to put in a lot of effort yourself or at least should. He has now been living in the house for just over a year and is still very enthusiastic (he built with Mr. Hellmann).
Since we bought a plot of land last year, we are now fully in the planning phase. We have already had consultations with Magu and recently also visited Isorast Weller. That is exactly why I am writing here now. If I understood correctly, you @red-ed will be building with Mr. Weller? We found the conversation with him really good, but we also went home a little bit skeptical. Skeptical because we (so far) do not have concrete information or practical experience whether the concept really works as he described it. The concept is basically quite simple:
Thank you very much in advance!

Skeptical because we (so far) do not have concrete information or practical experience whether the concept really works as he described it. The concept is basically quite simple:
- Plus-energy house thanks to insulation values and photovoltaic panels
- Surplus electricity is fed into the grid (electricity cloud contracts with the energy supplier) so you can get through the winter
- Air-to-air heat pump outside with the corresponding unit inside the house
- Hot water through an instantaneous water heater
- Underfloor heating (only in the bathroom) using electric heating mats (because conventional water-based underfloor heating systems are too slow to have any effect in a house like this)
- For quick heating of a room, if desired, electrically powered heaters (infrared)
- Ventilation system of course
- That means everything is powered by electricity. No ground-source heat pump or similar. No hot water storage tank, …
Thank you very much in advance!
