Hello,
On April 29th, the civil engineering company will start installing gas, water, and electricity lines. For three months now, the telecom provider has failed to send the order to the civil engineering company to install their cables at the same time. Originally, the plan was to lay a 75 DN (nominal diameter) KG conduit alongside the other installations. However, we have now realized that a PE pipe is required, which is somewhat more expensive than a KG pipe. We do not want to spend money on an empty conduit just because the telecom provider has not gotten their act together. After all, 100 € is 100 €.
Question: The telecom connection costs 799.00 €. If we decide to skip the empty conduit, will this result in additional costs later since retrofitting will be more effort without an existing conduit? The driveway will only be paved next year anyway, so having to dig it up again would not be a problem for us.

I was able to talk to the new neighbors yesterday. To keep it short: I will provide the conduit, take the day off on the scheduled date, and the civil contractors will install the conduit.
I just need to call the telecom company later to confirm which type of conduit they actually require, so that the wrong one isn’t installed. Then I can also ask about the status of the contract award to the civil contractors.
How did you handle it with the utility provider? I’ve already received the market location number. So now it’s just the installation of the meters remaining, and then I can immediately start applying for electricity and gas contracts, right?

The required conduit in the necessary length is usually provided free of charge by the Telekom customer service. The 799 most likely covers only the connection without the conduit, so Moltenhausen is correct.
Then you will probably remain without a phone connection or face much higher costs later.

My civil engineering company refused to just lay it in directly.
Unfortunately, I had to arrange it officially through the company.
If I had known how expensive it would be, I would have given them a big gift for it.Mycraft schrieb:

Then you will probably be left without a telephone connection or face much higher costs later.Okay, so definitely the empty conduit then. Ugh, so I’m seeing it correctly that it will be significantly more expensive if the telecom contracts the civil engineering company that will be on site for gas, water, and electricity on April 29?
