Hello everyone!
Do you see any advantages to a freestanding bathtub?

Apart from the fact that many people are currently enthusiastic about them because they are supposedly more attractive and exclusive, I personally don’t see any benefits at all.
- more expensive
- harder to clean
- takes up more space
- usually requires more expensive plumbing connections

Advantage: Appearance. That's it 🙂

But there are more disadvantages. 90% are very uncomfortable. We searched for a long time.

We also have one, and I wouldn’t want to miss it.

I don’t see any advantage.

I wouldn’t even do it if it were cheaper.

I think it just looks awkward and out of place.

I’m looking forward to my 90x190 cm (35x75 inches) bathtub, which will be installed discreetly. It will be fully tiled up to the floor tiles, of course.

I completely agree with that...

I don’t even like it visually. I actually prefer the bathtub tucked against the wall, with platforms all around.

A bathroom does not always have to be just a bath; it can also be a more spacious bathroom. When all the fixtures are placed against the walls, it creates an odd empty space in the middle. So, the bathtub is moved slightly toward the center of the room. The washbasin cannot be moved easily because of the mirror, and the shower because of the splash guard. That leaves only the bathtub. Advantages? I can’t think of any besides taking up unnecessary space. Still, we have one included in the contract because of the open bathroom design, and the bathtub will be positioned along the gallery railing. An inset bathtub would look odd there.
