Hello everyone,

We have two companies here making the following statements:

Company 1:
Flush-mounted (from the outside) plastic windows are possible without any further issues.

Company 2:
Flush-mounted (from the outside) plastic windows carry the risk of warping due to their unfavorable "geometry." Company 2 therefore only offers the very expensive wood-aluminum option, which is not feasible for us due to cost.

How do you assess the statements from both companies? Is the risk mentioned by Company 2 real, or is it just a "trick" to minimize their workload or to generate more profit?

Flush-mounted windows would be ideal for us because this type of window greatly enhances the appearance of our façade (a very clean façade design leaning towards Bauhaus style).

Does it depend on the color of the windows?
In the past, there have been various issues reported with very dark shades (warping...).
Of course, it’s possible that manufacturers have learned from this or that one of the two window makers has already had problems with this.

What exterior color do the desired windows have?

In that case, aluminum should be used instead of plastic. With aluminum, flush mounting is not a special request, and the small additional cost (which is not really significant in the long run) is further justified.
