Hello,
unfortunately, we contractually agreed on white for the windows, front door, and garage door.
What do you estimate the additional costs would be if we switch to the color anthracite?
1 garage door for a double garage
1 front door, 1.10 m (3 ft 7 in) wide
11 windows
11 patio doors
Thank you very much for your estimates!

How much do you estimate the additional costs would be if we changed to the color anthracite? This varies from builder to builder: we paid just under 1,800 for a whole bunch of windows (the entire house). For the sectional door from Zapf, I have to guess... about 600???
But this was back in 2013.

winnetou7824 Jul 2017 18:21As I mentioned, I received quotes from 10 different construction companies in total, and for the windows, they all ranged between 4000 and 6000 EUR.
That was too much for just some film.
I would have definitely done it for 1800.
That is fair.

Usually, you have a choice among different RAL colors. White and anthracite should basically cost the same. If it has to be coated white, that is often the case...

It probably depends on the material. That’s how it is with wood-aluminum, as far as I know. ... or also with uPVC-aluminum or aluminum.
With uPVC, white is usually the standard color of the material itself, and other colors are often created by laminating films. That naturally costs differently because it involves an additional step and material.
Window manufacturers tend to charge only a symbolic amount for this, whereas home builders usually charge significantly more.
