Hello,
we have purchased a new semi-detached house.
The house will be white with beige accents.
We were considering having the windows, window sills, and roller shutters in anthracite to create a nice contrast. The windows would then match the front door, garage door, canopy, rain gutter, and patio roof, which are also anthracite.
Are there any issues with window sills and roller shutters in anthracite?
Is it possible for the roller shutters to warp?
The roller shutters will probably be made of plastic; I am not yet familiar with the material used for the window sills.

If we choose many smaller elements in anthracite, it creates a uniform overall appearance with nice anthracite accents.... and thus follows the trend of 90% of all homebuilders. Every house looks the same. Of course, it’s always a matter of personal taste, but to me it feels too uniform. Pacc666 schrieb:

I wonder why so many builders are "afraid" of color? What’s the reason for that?Probably because it’s quite abstract to make decisions based on samples. At first, we also wanted to go with the usual white/anthracite combination. We thought it looked nice.
Then we reconsidered and realized we actually found it pretty boring and started looking at colors.
That wasn’t easy either. We had a basic idea, four plaster textures, and spent about eight weekends visiting and checking them at different places and lighting conditions.
In the end, we chose a color that we were initially quite skeptical about because of the pattern. I then said, “Come on, honey, let’s do it like this!”
We jumped into the deep end.
In the end, it was exactly the right decision.

Bertram10018 Aug 2021 18:22I have an anthracite-colored front door with a lot of frosted glass. It feels rather gloomy to approach and come home to. I would have preferred a bright color.
I find the color scheme of your house terrible. It’s too "southern German" and too boring for me. Personally, I would definitely choose colored window frames and a colored door. But I do like it colorful 😀 More than most people, probably.
