Hello.
A roller shutter installer explained to me that all the windows in our new building (2 years old) were installed about 3 cm (1¼ inches) too far inside.
Because of this, there is a gap of around 2.5 cm (1 inch) between the roller shutter profile and the shutter curtain.

The building (apartment complex) has a 5-year warranty.
But what use is a warranty if the window was installed incorrectly?
The apartment was purchased as a turnkey property from the developer.
It’s difficult to realign the window now...

Are there any other disadvantages besides the gap between the window and roller shutter not fitting properly?

Thank you very much.

I only see this one:

I’ve noticed that recently many insects (especially wasps) are flying around my roller shutter box. They seem to be looking for a nest.
I took a closer look at it.
I noticed that the brush seal (I think that’s what the strip is called) is installed about 2.5cm (1 inch) away from the shutter curtain.

I would probably replace the brush seals with longer ones in places where the roller shutters are rarely lowered (bathroom or similar). Where the roller shutter box is used daily, I don’t see a significant risk of nesting.

Okay, I will do that anyway. I’m just wondering if I should expect any other disadvantages (heat loss, etc.). Thanks
