Hello,

I would like to install a security door in my 3-year-old condominium and am looking for a suitable company. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any company through Google—probably due to using the wrong search terms.

Which trade specialist should I contact for this?

Thank you, Reinhard

What do you understand by that? Which RC rating should be achieved?

RC2/3 should be provided by any door supplier, as long as it’s not just standard hardware store products.

It might be that you are not allowed to do that.
That would be a matter related to special and joint property ownership.
Or have you already checked on that?

@Alex85
It should be at least RC2/3. I'm concerned not only about the delivery but also about the installation.

@ypg
This has been agreed upon and approved by the condominium association. It is also documented in the minutes.

For a door requiring enhanced security, I would especially advise not to separate these services. In other words, the installation company should handle delivery as well. Door and window specialists can be found under categories like "windows," "doors," or "building components." Interior doors for apartments are often offered by carpentry workshops. Window professionals who work exclusively with PVC (meaning no aluminum) often have a carpentry background. The local crime prevention office may also be able to recommend such companies.

Exactly. Window manufacturers offer matching doors, while for wood it would be the carpenter. However, most of the time there are simply “door suppliers” who do exactly that (regardless of their original background).
