Does anyone have experience with click vinyl or luxury vinyl flooring like Vinylan?
According to the description, this vinyl seems to combine the advantages of various floor coverings:
- comfortable to walk on due to the cork underlayer
- durable
- easy to install like laminate
- low maintenance
It’s not exactly cheap, though.
However, you can get vinyl flooring in tropical wood tones without contributing to deforestation.
Does anyone have experience with click vinyl and can possibly share any drawbacks?

wladieckert15 Jun 2016 13:56Click vinyl flooring actually combines the best qualities of all types of floor coverings, as vinyl is a versatile option. It is waterproof, durable, easy to clean, and so on.
However, there are some disadvantages:
Vinyl flooring can be easily damaged. It is common for our customers to experience minor damage from falling objects. But generally, the higher the quality of the vinyl, the more resistant it is.
Also, especially with click vinyl, you need to be careful not to walk on it with wet shoes, as it is not completely waterproof. When cleaning, you should avoid using too much water.
You should also be cautious about cheap products from abroad, as these floors may not meet strict standards and could therefore be harmful to health.
Here are some additional points listed from where I also gathered my information: xxx. vinylbodentest.de
I hope my answer was somewhat helpful to you.

We visited the dealer on site and received some advice. So, which type of flooring did you decide on?
The NEO WOOD 2.0 is the model we chose after we filed a claim for the NEO Wood within just six months. The story can also be found here. Or on our house building blog.

There is, for example, vinyl flooring from Meister that has even received the Blue Angel certification. Well, the Blue Angel label is applied to just about anything if the money is paid for it... even on bricks containing carcinogenic hazardous waste from enamel production (see Woolrec scandal). I wouldn't bet my health on that.
