Hello dear forum community, my house is now approaching the final stage, and I would like to start thinking about which type of plaster to use for my walls.
The house was built using precast concrete elements. These walls have varying surface textures.

Some walls are quite smooth, while others are rough.
Can you give me any advice on which materials are suitable for concrete walls?

I have already read good things about "Knauf Multi Finish." However, I am not sure if it is the right product.

Attached is a photo of the current condition. The walls will be wallpapered with painter’s fleece afterwards.

Rohbauzimmer: Betonwände, Fensterfront, gestapelte Dämmplatten und freiliegende Kabel.

My tip: Visit the "Mörtelshop" forum (it’s spelled with an O and an E, but it always gets “corrected” here). Sven Backstein answers questions about cement and concrete there, and I don’t know anyone with such extensive knowledge in this field as he has. He has helped me many times, and I gladly recommend him.

Our goal is of course to have smooth walls
Well, it’s not that simple. We usually prefer walls with a bit of texture and character rather than the modern ultra-smooth finish. Luckily, this time our taste resulted in a price reduction. Naturally, we immediately compensated for that with extra materials...

I believe that is actually his real name.

"The modern ultra-smooth"
For me, there is an important difference between "smooth" and "straight."
Smooth surfaces can have waves and dents, while straight surfaces may have a rough texture.

I find it pleasant when you don’t get scratched or hurt if you accidentally bump into or scrape along a wall.

For a concrete wall that I planned with Mr. Backstein’s help, the concrete should be finished so that no sharp edges remain (formwork joints), and the corners are rounded. Then,
Marfino Conkrete Surface Microcement should be applied between 0 and 5 millimeters (0 and 0.2 inches) thick.
“To use, the white powder is mixed with water and can be tinted with our pigments as desired. … a high-quality wall covering for interior and exterior, applied with a trowel or spatula. This allows for easy creation of attractive exposed surfaces on walls, seamless bathrooms, and mineral furniture fronts.”

I haven’t used it myself yet, but I am already convinced and regret that due to a change in the plans, it will probably not be used.

There are many different types of “mortars” with so many properties that no ideas remain impossible (at least that’s what I say now )

Exposed concrete without formwork joints is, in my opinion, like caffeine-free tofu ;-(
