Is there an alternative to windows with attached roller shutter boxes? I am about to replace a window, and what bothers me about windows with attached roller shutter boxes is that the shutter boxes take up a lot of light and space.

Is it possible to completely do without roller shutters and use triple glazing along with, for example, internal venetian blinds or blinds?

They are called external roller shutters... but you can also completely do without shutters... after all, it’s your house...

Yesterday, I visited a window manufacturer who recommended a complete system with windows that have factory-installed roller shutters. Not bad, but since the windows in older buildings are not very large, there is the usual BUT. Such a roller shutter box takes up about 15cm (6 inches) or more and reduces the window area.

Has anyone had experience with this and can share their insights?
